Tickets to MCC 64: BACCAM Vs. DEEDS – NOW ON SALE
Friday, April 14th – Des Moines, Iowa – Hy Vee Hall
Official Press Release:
MCC 64 Announced for April 14th - ANTHONY BACCAM Vs DEMI DEEDS Des Moines, IA - 03/06/17
The month of April will be a big one for the MCC fans. It was made official Monday afternoon; two of the best lightweights in the Midwest will battle for the MCC Lightweight Title.
On April. 14th, the MCC cage will arrive back at Hy Vee Hall in Downtown Des Moines, Iowa. Tickets go on sale this Friday, March 10th!
Three of the main card bouts were announced.
Headlining the event, Anthony Baccam will take on one of the most devastating strikers to ever come out of the Midwest fight scene, Demi Deeds. The winner of this bout will be the rightful holder of the MCC Lightweight Championship Title.
Anthony Baccam, 3-1 in MCC, holds wins in the MCC cage over Ryan Stock, Jon Milledge, and featherweight phenom, Luis Saldana. Baccam has proved to be one of the best fighters at featherweight and lightweight. Baccam is hoping to make enough of a statement to join fellow MCC veterans Johnny Case and Jeremy Stephens in the UFC.
Demi Deeds, who is 3-1 in his last four bouts, has not suffered a loss in over three years. That loss was dealt by UFC fighter and MCC owner, Johnny “Hollywood” Case. Deeds and Hollywood both tested each other’s chins and hearts, as both were dropped in that crowd pleasing affair. With a majority of Deed’s wins coming in the first round, he has made it clear he is looking for the win at the sound of the bell. Having experience in some of the biggest stages such as Bellator, to testing the chins of big welterweights like UFC Vet Bobby Voelker, Deeds doesn’t feel pressure and looks for devastating wins, no matter the circumstances.
With Baccam and Deeds both coming off of TKO wins, and a combined total of 25 finishes, you are sure to see both contenders fighting for a finish.
In a featured bout, longtime veteran Matt Young, will take on the older brother of Johnny Hollywood, Allyn Case. Young is a 7x MCC Vet and has faced some of MCC’s biggest names, such as MCC Featherweight King Eric Howser, and former MCC Bantamweight Champion Laramie Shaffer. Young says he is focused and dedicated like never before to dominate Allyn Case and any others in his way, proving to be the best bantamweight in the MCC.
Allyn Case has only seen a total of four minutes inside the MCC cage, with his two wins coming early in the 1st round. Case holds MCC wins over Nathan Endres by kimura (MCC 61) and Joshua Thele by TKO (MCC 59). Johnny Hollywood himself claims his brother Allyn to be the better and more complete version of himself. Only time will tell if he has what it takes to join his brother on the biggest stage.
MCC 64 will also feature a battle of Old School vs New School. Light heavyweight and long-time veteran, Mike “Minivan” VanMeer, takes on Justen “The Cannon” Shannon. With over a decade in the fight game, Minivan possesses 10 wins by knockout and 15 wins by submission. The man stepping into the cage with Minivan, “The Cannon” has six wins by submission, with 5 of those submissions coming in the first round.
Other bouts to be announced soon. Including: Jeff Carstens, Gary Hedlund, Joshua Thele, Levi Thompson, Eddie Aguiluz, and Phil Lumley.
