Lesson7 Battles this Thursday, goes toe to toe for a shot at the title!

Des Moines-based rock/rap band, Lesson7 will be rocking Bombay Bicycle Club this Thursday night as they go head to head with other local acts in the Second Annual “Best Damn Battle of the Band”. Currently, Lesson7 is a semi-finalist, hoping for a shot at the $10,000 grand prize.

Lesson7 drummer and MMA enthusiast, Bryan York commented via FaceBook, “Thanks to all of our supporters; industry leaders are finally recognizing the work Lesson7 has put in. Let’s put DMI back on the map.”

The five-member band, who recently launched their first record this fall, have watched increasing numbers throughout 2012 and hope that winning the Best Damn Battle of the Bands contest will propel them to greater success in the near future.

“I’ve been a huge fan of these guys since I first saw them live”, commented MCC color commentator, John Halverson. “Their music is a perfect mix of rock, rap, and R&B with catchy hooks and all around great talent. These guys are destined for stardom, and it would be great for Des Moines to get behind them now.”

Bombay Bicycle Club, located at 8410 Hickman Road, hosts the Best Damn Battle of the Band’s contest. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. with the first band taking the stage at 9:00 p.m.
