When it comes to finishing fights, two names come to mind: Chris Fannon and Roy Moore. While the line to face either is short and sweet, Chris Fannon is looking forward to putting on a fight of the night performance at MCC 42 on August 3.
“I haven’t seen a lot of ground work from Roy,” stated Fannon. “So whatever he’s doing must be working for him. He’s explosive, throws a lot of big punches and kicks, and I don’t think many guys are prepared for facing a fighter like him.”
So what makes someone actually excited to fight Roy Moore?
“I see me taking this fight anywhere I want. Yes, I expect blood. I think the first round will be a lot of back and forth banging. It’s going to be intense with the amount of punches and kicks that get thrown. But I see me winning this fight in the second round by submission of TKO.”
Spending time between the gyn he cut his MMA teeth on, Henry’s Martial Arts as well as Porcelli’s Training Center, Fannon is growing more confident in his abilities as each day passes. With stoppages over Sean Frank, Justin “Tsunami”Meador, and Shon Caldeira, Fannon is looking to take one step further in his career.
“I have trained hard so that I will be the one to set the pace. If I want to take the fight to the ground, I will. If I want to keep it standing, I will. I’m confident in what I’m bringing into the cage. I respect Roy, but I expect to win this fight.”
Fannon vs. Moore takes place on the undercard of MCC 42. The card features a light heavyweight match up between former champion, Jesse Lund and powerhouse Todd Schmauss.
