Justin Fuson vs. Bryan Alden added to MCC 41 this Saturday night
This Saturday night, in a battle of light heavyweights, multi-time MCC veteran, Bryan Alden welcome Justin Fuson, who is making his sophomore appearance in MCC, back to the cage.
Alden, who has been on a bit of a skid inside the MCC cage was able to right the ship as he co-headlined the April MCC Contenders I event, where he was able to reel off an impressive performance as he TKO’d fellow slugger, Charles Robuck, in the first round. Often criticized for his conditioning, Alden showed great promise as he patiently stalked Robuck, keeping him at range with jabs and leg kicks, and when the moment presented itself, Alden used his wealth of experience to put his opponent away.
On the other side of the cage, Justin Fuson, a product of the ever-popular Elite Edge training facility, returns after a solid victory over wrestler and war-veteran, Luke Jensen. The popular fighter, despite his lack of cage experience, looked comfortable as he was able to control the action throughout the bout, peppering Jensen with hammer fists and a relentless ground attack.
“This will be a good test for Fuson,” commented MCC’s Ryan Hass. “Alden has a lot of experience and looked much improved at MCC Contenders. Of course, the way Fuson fought in his last bout (against Jensen), he’s going to a force in the light heavyweight division.”
